Donald "Don" L. Ridley, 69, of Midland, GA, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at North Highland Church, 7300 Whittlesey Blvd. Columbus, GA 31909 with Rev. Robert French officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Ridley was born January 12, 1947 in Evansville, IN to the late Jesse and Jean Ridley. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brother James Ridley.
After retirement from American General he enjoyed open road adventures with friends and family and took great joy in his involvement with Children's Ministries at North Highland Assembly of God Church where he was better known as "The Crow".
Don Ridley was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, a dear friend to many and stranger to none.
He is survived and dearly missed by his wife of 39 years, S. Carol Ridley; sons, Scott Ridley of Leland, NC, Eric Carter (Melissa) of Phenix City, AL and Jason Ridley (DeAnna) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, brothers, Bobby Ridley (Diane) and Tom Ridley of Orlando, FL, grandchildren, Kara, Chelbie, Caleb, Trey, Gracie, Carson, Maggie and Greenlee, and great grandchildren, Paisley and Abbey Kate.
In lieu of flowers the family requests, and would be greatly appreciative, of donations or contributions made to North Highland Church Children's Ministries, 7300 Whittlesey Blvd., Columbus, GA 31909.
