Doris B. Williams, 81, of Columbus, GA died at home surrounded by her family in the early morning of Tuesday, May 25,2026.

Doris was born July 17, 1944 in Brundidge, AL to the late Ellie Franklin Brown and Vera Sanders. After graduating high school Doris began working in retail service until her retirement from Target. Doris was a devoted wife to James Williams, Jr. and Chrisitian to her God.

She taught Sunday School among numerous churches over a span of 45 years. She loved to spend time with James camping at Bluff Creek. She and her husband would go hunting together but her main passion was fishing. They renewed their vows in 2024 to reiterate their love for each other.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years of marriage, James Williams Jr., son Tony Williams Jr. of Columbus, GA , daughter Theresa (Jones) Smith (Marty) of Quitman, AR, sisters; Margret Ray (Glenn) of Phenix City, AL and Nellie Branton (Bobby) of Donaldsville, GA, granddaughter Allsion Ieronimo, great-grandson Jareth Ieronimo, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
