Dorothy Ann Putnam, 84, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 10, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Putnam was born May 13, 1935 in Savannah, TN daughter of the late William Cromwell and Ruth Phillips Cromwell. She was a homemaker and a "Gold Star" wife.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, 1ST SGT (Ret.) Charles Richard Putnam.
Survivors include her children, Ricky Putnam, Margaret Broussard (Tony), Shirley Sowell, Michael Putnam (Anna), Betty Jordan (Ward) and George Putnam, sister, Mary Smith, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
