Edith Gradic Hopkins, 95, of Valley, AL died Monday, March 27, 2017 at Orchard View Assisted Living.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. A private interment will be held at Riverdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hopkins was born June 1, 1921 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Charles and Pearl Medlock Gradic. She retired after 34 years from the GA Department of Labor and was a member of Sherwood Presbyterian Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Howard Hopkins, brother, Charles A. Gradic, Jr. and grandson, Ryan Waksmonski.
Survivors include her daughters, Jan Waksmonski (Mike) of Valley, AL, Linda Jones (Randy) of Sierra Vista, AZ and Judy Newby (David) of Jacksonville, FL, grandchildren, Lyn Newby of Jacksonville, FL and Kyndall Mattocks (Joel) of Salem, AL, and great grandchildren, Seth Mattocks of Salem, AL and Cody Rivera of St. Matthews, SC.
