Edmund Thomas Bacon, 77, of Junction City, GA died Friday, October 25, 2019 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Prathan Powell and Rev. Tommy Henschel officiating. Interment will follow at Waverly Hall Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Bacon was born January 23, 1942 in Washington, GA son of the late Carlton Elmo Bacon and Annie Kathleen Mulkey Bacon. He worked as an Insurance District Manager and Motivational Speaker for AIG, formerly known as National Life and Accident and was a member of Raytown Baptist Church. Mr. Bacon was also an avid fox hunter.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Garbutt and Mary Ann Quinn.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Harris Bacon of Junction City, GA, children, Michele B. Davis (Monty), Christie B. Webb (Jamie), Jennifer B. Webb and Kim Suiter (Steve), sister, Linda B. Scott, grandchildren, Kelsey Grant (Michael), Heather Gardner (Blake), Ryan Davis (Brittany), Casey Merritt, Daniel Davis, Chloe Webb, Allie Webb and Kayne Duke, great-grandchildren, Webberly-Blair Grant, Beau Davis, Knox Gardner, Brooks Grant and Avia Faith Suiter, and a number of nieces and nephews.
