Edna Phillips Dubois

Edna Phillips DuBois, 95, of Columbus, GA, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Evangel Temple with Rev. Paul Thomas and Rev. Bud Rupel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church, 5350 Veterans Pkwy., Columbus, GA 31904. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.The services will be streamed live for those who are unable to attend the services beginning 11:00 AM Wednesday at https://watch.evangel.live/ . In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, face coverings and social distancing will be required during the funeral service and visitation.

Edna was born August 3, 1925 in Albany, GA to the late John B. Phillips and Willie Moncus Phillips. She was a lifetime member of Evangel Temple, had very strong faith and loved the Lord. She was a devoted member of the Ladies' Sunday School class and the Ladies' Bible Study. She loved to cook, garden, sew and spend time with her family. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey "Buzz" DuBois and her sisters, Evelyn Milner, Helen Williamson and Janie LaVerne Phillips.

She is survived by her daughter Jacquelyn “Jacque” Murray (Robert “Bob”) of Columbus, GA, brother Lamar Phillips (Martha) of Decatur, GA, granddaughter, Melissa "Missi" Smith (Jason) of Hamilton, GA, great-grandchildren Carter and Ethan Smith of Valley, AL and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
