Elsie Frances Gibson, 86, Columbus, GA, died July 2, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 5, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Tony Dickerson officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gibson was born April 16, 1928 in Havaco, WV daughter of the late Clayton Glen Conklin and Maudie Mae Walher Conklin. She was a sales associate for AAFES.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Madison Gibson.
Survivors include her daughter, Imogene Willis (James) of Cataula, GA; son, Glen C. Gibson (Darlene) of Columbus, GA and James Calvin Gibson of Harris County, GA; brothers, Robert Conklin (Cecelia) of Ridgeway, VA and Ricky Conklin of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Gaynell Williams of Axton, VA; grandchildren, Stephanie Frady (Gene), James Gibson, Matthew Gibson, Connor Gibson, Jeremy Welch, Wayne Welch, Dustin Willis; 8 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
