Elzie Lee Porter

Elzie Lee Porter, was born May 14, 1939 in Stewart-Webster county to the late Eva L. Mills and Arthur Porter.
Elzie enjoyed a full life and was a hard worker. He retired from Aflac in 2005, after 21 years of service in the maintenance department. He also delivered for Pizza Hut and threw the morning paper for the Ledger-Enquirer. All who knew Elzie, better known as "Po Boy" by family and "PorterHouse" by friends, knew he loved to laugh and always had a joke to share. He loved to play dominoes and was a big fan of wrestling.
Elzie departed this world October 26, 2017 in the care of Kindred Hospice in Columbus, GA. He is preceded in death by one brother, Henry Lee Mills, a sister Ruthie Lee Lundy, and one son, Arthur Lee Porter(Geraldine).
He is survived by two brothers, Billie B. Mills (Jean) and Eddie B. Mills (Cusseta, Ga) Two sisters, Annie Lois McLester (Cols,Ga) and Willie Kate Evans (Cusseta, Ga). He has three loving sons, Stanley Porter(Ann), Schuyler Porter (Gloria) and Maurice D. Porter(Atlanta, Ga).
One adoring daughter, Miss. Patrice Porter(Columbus,Ga). A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday November 2, 2017 at 5pm-7pm at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga, 31907.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 8301 Franciscan Woods Drive Ste 201 Columbus, GA 31909.
