Ethan C.
O'Berry
December 29, 2001 – May 20, 2026
Ethan C. O'Berry, born December 29, 2001, in Waynesboro, Georgia, passed away on May 20, 2026, in Columbus, Georgia. A beloved son, brother, partner, and friend, Ethan’s life was a vibrant testament to the joy found in simple pleasures, unwavering loyalty, and heartfelt connections.
Ethan was what many would describe as an old soul. From a young age, his love of music was evident, revealing a depth of passion and an appreciation for life that was rare among his peers. He embraced life more fully than most, finding delight in small moments and sharing a unique sense of humor that could illuminate any room the instant he entered. Ethan's warmth and genuine affection for others were among his most defining qualities; he loved deeply and with an open heart.
His unwavering support for his grandparents demonstrated a maturity and loyalty beyond his years, reflecting the values that shaped his character. An avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, Ethan's dedication to the team was emblematic of his steadfast loyalty. For Ethan, true happiness was found in the simple combination of a Saints game, a glizzy, and a Natty Light — a trifecta that perfectly captured his lighthearted spirit. His randomness, the spontaneous moments he gifted to those around him, could brighten a day unexpectedly, reminding all who knew him of the delight in life’s unpredictability.
Ethan's love extended beyond his personal passions to the cherished relationships he nurtured. He treasured his friends, found joy in family Sunday Fundays, and was always eager to enjoy good food and good company. Whether attending a live concert or spending time in a local dive bar, Ethan embraced each experience with enthusiasm and an open heart.
He is survived by his mother, Jessica Bradshaw, and stepfather, Billy Turner; his father, Billy O’Berry; his sister, Alyssa Jamieson; his brother, Rowan Turner; his sister Emmy O’Berry, and his partner, Lydia Alexander. Ethan also leaves behind his grandmother Penny Bradshaw, great grandmother Sue Bradshaw, great aunt and uncle Kelley and Duke Matlock, a long list of aunts- Courtney, Emily, Brianna, and Tara, his uncle Hunter, as well as his closest friends Ian Dehner, Ian Allen, and Elijah Hawkins. Their lives were all made richer by Ethan’s presence.
Ethan joins in eternal rest his grandmother Donna Bradshaw, grandfather Rusty Bradshaw, great grandfather Robert H. Bradshaw, and great uncle Greg Bradshaw, whose memories continue to live on through the family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907. This gathering will honor Ethan’s joyful spirit and the lasting impression he made on all who knew him.
