Evelyn Montee Jones, 86, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, May 28, 2017 at her daughter's home.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. EST, at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A service will be held 1:00 p.m. CST, Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Bethlehem Assembly of God Church, 6699 S County 81 Rd, Gordon, AL 36343 with Pastor Myrice McNab officiating. Burial will immediately follow after service in church cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born January 18, 1931 in Crosby, AL daughter of the late Charlie Hart and Berlie Hatcher Hart. She was retired from Sears.
Mrs. Jones enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, gardening and collecting dolls.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Jones, and son, Franklin Brady Jones.
Survivors include her daughter, Lena Marie Thomas and Jimmy; grandson Nick Thomas, all of Columbus, GA and granddaughter Lena Brady Thomas and fiance, John Weaver, both of New York City.
