Faye G. Cornelius, 73, of Phenix City, AL, died Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Columbus Hospice House.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Tim Winters officiating.
Mrs. Cornelius was born July 25, 1944 in Cherokee County, GA daughter of the late George Garland and Dimple Inez Heath Garland. She was strong "like a tree" for her family, acting as both Mom and Dad for her family for many years. Mrs. Cornelius was her families best friend, always there for them no matter what.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Cornelius.
Survivors include her two daughters, Lisa Rabon of Phenix City, AL and Sonya C. Wimmer (Daniel) of Smith Station, AL; son, Billy Joe Cornelius (Eva) of Crawford, AL; 7 grandchildren, Chris Carroll, Candice Rabon, B.J. Cornelius, Brooke Cornelius, Allison Cornelius, Brittney Wimmer and Sonni Wimmer; 6 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Megan, Kristen, Devin, Madison and Diamond and brother, Michael Garland of Smith Station, AL.
