Filipo Leo, Jr., 48, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Loama Sialega officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Filipo was born June 28, 1968 in Fagaalu, American Samoa son of Filipo Leo, Sr. of Samoa and the late Foketi Ma'Afala Leo. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked in Quality Control at Kia Auto Sports. He loved to cook, watch movies, and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Leo of Phenix City, AL, daughters, Natasha Peak (Rusty), Lauren Leo, Moana Leo all of Columbus, GA and Victoria Fiame of Phenix City, AL, son, Daniel Leo of Columbus, GA, siblings, Ila Cho, Steve Leo, Iokapeta Pyo and Elaine Timo, granddaughters, Salote Pearl Leo, Amelia Rain Peak, and Luna Rosalie Peak.
