Floy Lorene Peacock

Floy Lorene Peacock, 87, of Columbus died Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Monday, February 28, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA with Rev. Hank Reeves and Rev. Jamie Holloway officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3 till 5 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Peacock was born July 3, 1923 in Graceville, FL daughter of the late Vera Newton Taylor and George Taylor. She was the former owner of Peacock Bookkeeping and a member of Glenn Anthony Baptist Church.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. "Bud" Peacock, daughter, Betty Fincher, four sisters and six brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Peacock Crockett and son-in-law Randy; three grandchildren, Saletra Glover, Ricky Fincher and Mark Glover; three step grandchildren, Jonathan Crockett, Kim Crockett and Lisa Shoebrooks; two great grandchildren, Spencer Glover and Timmy Glover; two step great grandchildren, Starla Shoebrooks and Matt Shoebrooks and several nieces and nephews.
