Frances Cole Garner, 89, of Columbus, GA passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Cindy Garrard officiating.
Mrs. Garner was born September 1, 1927 in Lanett, Alabama, daughter of John Lewis Cole and Nannie Josephine Todd Cole. She was the owner of Columbus Beauty School in Columbus, Georgia for many years and trained hundreds of cosmetologists in Columbus.
Mrs. Garner was predeceased in death by her husband Homer Jackson Ethaniel Garner. She is survived by sons Michael Edward Garner (Gwenette) and Homer Dale Garner (Nancy), granddaughter, Linda Janan Garner; great-grandsons, Joshua Oset, Cole Chasen Garner; brother-in-law, Samuel Garner, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those so desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Luke Respite Ministry, 1021 Third Avenue Columbus, GA 31901.
