Frank Anderson Robinson, 79, of Columbus, Georgia passed away peacefully at his home May 18, 2017.
Frank was born September 2, 1937 to the late Frank Anderson Robinson, Sr. and Frances Agnes Layfield Robinson. He graduated from Columbus High School and Georgia Military College. Over the course of his lengthy career, Frank owned Woodruff Robinson Insurance, Spratlin-Harrington Insurance, and was a partner in Lanier-Huffman-Robinson Insurance. He later served as Senior Vice President of ISU International. He served on numerous Insurance Company panels, and Insurance Technology Users' Groups. As a parishioner at Trinity Episcopal Church he served as Junior Warden and Senior Warden at various times. Frank was one of the "Baker's Dozen" who established The Columbus Urban League.
Frank is survived by his siblings: Sandra Averett, Barbara (Bob) Borchert, Mike (Barbara) Robinson, and Tom (Vickie) Robinson. He also leaves his devoted wife Eva Hoffman Robinson and their children Edna (Jud) Richardson and William. Frank also is survived by his children Lind (John) Bussey, Lou (Eph) Davis, Andy (Andrea) Robinson and Leah (Coyt) Bailey; their grandchildren Jenny Lind (Wilson) Boone, John (Frances) Bussey, Anderson Bussey, Avery and Maggie Robinson, James and Anna Davis, and Sara and Hugh Bailey. In addition, he has four great grandchildren Clark, Elizabeth, and Anderson Boone and Wyc Bussey, plus numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Frank's life will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Columbus, Georgia on May 28, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the grace-filled care Frank received from Laketa Reed, RN, Shay Wiggs, Jeremy Davis, and Mitch Huling, Chaplain, LeWanda McCrory, Chris Starks, and Andre James. Many thanks to Aflac for allowing Eva to work from home during this past year.
