Gailacee "Gail" Pritchett Sanders, 65, of Ladonia, AL passed away Friday July 19, 2013 at the Columbus Specialty Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday July 22, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel 613 14th Street Phenix City, AL with Reverend Forrest Gillens officiating. Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery in Crawford, AL.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sanders was born December 24, 1947 in Columbus, GA to the late Loren Norris Pritchett and James Pritchett. She was retired from Eagle and Phenix Mill, Fieldcrest, and Cannon Mill. She was a member of East Side Assembly of God Church in Columbus, GA. She enjoyed bingo, fishing, watching her granddaughters playing softball, and painting. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Tony Sanders and Ricky Sanders, and grandson Dakota Wood.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Sanders of Ladonia, son, Jeff Sanders (Kristi), daughters, Lisa Ramey (John), Nancy Wood, grandsons, Jesse Sanders and Travis Ramey of Phenix City, six granddaughters, Stephanie Sanders, Blair Sanders, Hannah Sanders, Madison Sanders, Shelbi Wood, Samantha Ramey, one great granddaughter, Payton Terrell all of Phenix City, special niece, Amber Pritchett Westbrook of Columbus, brothers, Gene Pritchett and Roy Pritchett both of Smiths Station, AL, sister, Shirley Duncan of Valley, AL, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She fought a long and hard battle with cancer.
