George C. Johnson, Jr. 93, of Phenix City, Alabama died Tuesday, September 01, 2020 at the Columbus Hospice House.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 04, 2020 in Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Paul Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the cemetery. The services will be livestreamed Friday morning on FACEBOOK @mcmullenfuneralhome
Mr. Johnson was born July 10, 1927 in Marion County, Georgia son of the late George C. Johnson, Sr. and Genie Blythe Johnson. He retired after 45 years of service with the Hardaway Company and was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church and its Maps Ministry. Over the years, Mr. Johnson enjoyed farming and looking after his cows.
Other than his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Alice Johnson and their son Dean Johnson.
Survivors include his children; Cliff Johnson (Sherry), Sam Johnson (Connie) and Camille Owens all of Phenix City, Alabama, sister, Rose Klein of Franklin, Tennessee, grandchildren, Aaron Johnson, Miriam Jonson, Kyle Johnson, Lauren Johnson Barr, Charles Ledoux, Lisa Atkinson, John Ledoux, Allison Owens, Genni Owens and 8 great-grandchildren, Susannah Atkinson, Teddy Atkinson, Jayden Ledoux, Kiley Ledoux, Jace Justice, Kaeman Johnson, Brody Barr, Dylan Barr.
