Gerald "Jerry" E. Clark, 85, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Brown officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation will be 5:00 until 7:00pm on Monday, March 20, 2017, at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Clark was born April 14, 1931 in Findlay, OH, son of the late Orville Clark and Florence Fierbringer Clark. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Clark was a meat cutter at the Ft. Benning Commissary for over 27 years. He was an active member of Maranatha Baptist Church, an avid gardener, bowler and "champion" crossword puzzle worker. We will remember him as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Christina Gohlke Clark of Columbus, three daughters, Debby Flowers (Chester Fortune), Kennesaw, Diana Carter, Columbus, and Vivian C. Malloy, New Mexico; a son, Kenneth Malloy, Germany; one sister, Eileen Glock, Columbus; four grandchildren, Toni Hullderman, Shaun Thornton, Hannah Flowers and Sam Flowers; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in his memory to Maranatha Baptist Church, 303 Double Churches Rd., Columbus, Georgia 31904
