The Recognition of the Life & Passing of GISELA MARIE WEST…

She passed away peacefully in her Columbus home at the age of 87. May the Trumpets sound & the Angels sing as the Earth Mourns a lady that made the world a better place…Gisela will be…sorely missed & LOVED by those that she taught to love. Gisela provided this earth with more beautiful & more fragrant aroma everywhere she went. That is Gisela Marie West, a Blossoming Flower of 87 years.

Gisela was born Gisela Marie Kunstmann October 5, 1938 in Neider-Schoenfeld, Germany to her late father, Hans Johannes Kunstmann and her mother, Adelhied Luzie Tscheslog, Gisela married an Army Sargent P.L. Harriss and moved to the United States & was a Columbus, GA native since. She was employed as a weaver by Fieldcrest/Cannon Mills & worked there until she retired. She was a wonderful human being, Loved God, animals and was a loving mother to her children. She was a strong provider, a Beautiful Lady that had the most creditable Vanity & Poise. She was well spoken, with a bubbly disposition. Gisela surrounded herself with beautiful things that she and anyone could appreciate. Gisela made her own way & was the main provider raising children successfully; Gisela was a giant of a parent & helped make the world a better place. She saved more funds on the less than fair wage she earned & finished out with the highest of credit scores (850), WELL DONE! She outlived most of her friends, family, and peers.

Gisela is survived by her son: Rolf Harriss of Buena Vista, GA and her daughter: Susan & Jeff Stout of Fortson, GA.

Blessed souls will host a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date to be announced according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 319074.
