It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Rumph who passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026 at the age of 82.

Born on December 18, 1943 in Amite , Louisiana , Gloria lived a life marked by love, kindness, strength, and devotion to family and friends. She touched the lives of many through her generous spirit, and compassionate heart.

Gloria was a devoted wife,mother, sister and Nana who cherished every moment spent with family. She enjoyed reading, exploring Facebook, playing Bingo and watching her great Granddaughter Autumn’s dance moves. She will be remembered for her strong opinions, unwavering loyalty,love of the beach and Auburn football .

She is survived by her daughters Barbara Maldonado, Connie Elias, Ann Parkinson and son Donald Brown (Faye), Sister Jimmie Lee Allison ,Grandchildren Jonathan Maldonado(Janelle), Jennifer Maldonado, Chris Parkinson, Jack Elias, and 8 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her precious husband, James Rumph, her parents Molly and James Champion and several sisters and brothers .

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Gloria's love, wisdom, and memories will remain with us forever. Her legacy of compassion and strength will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 8, 2026 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Jennifer Maldonado officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
