Reverend Hal T. Schoonover, 92, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907, with Reverend Steve Womack officiating.
Hal was born September 9, 1926 in Akron, OH son of the late Ralph and Orpha Rhodes Schoonover. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Ferris Schoonover.
Survivors include his children, Edward Schoonover (Susan) of Phoenix, AZ, Joseph Schoonover of Lagrange, GA, Pamela Dionne (Rick) of Columbus, GA, Gary Schoonover of Salem, OH, Chris Walder (Jack) of South Carolina, Bart Cunningham (Ivy) of Urbana, OH; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Central Christian Church at 7775 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
