Harrison Austin Jones, 21 of Columbus, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2015.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Reverend Robert Beckum officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Active pallbearers will be Gil McBride, Aditya Mewar, Parker Hudgins, Andrew Sheftall, Brent Buck, Avery Seckinger, Will Kelley and Jonathan Hamby. The family will receive friends following the service. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery.
Harrison was born November 2, 1993 in Columbus, GA, the son of Eddie and Carol Hardin Jones. Although his life was cut short, the quality of his life and his contributions to the lives of the many that were touched by him far outweighs the quantity of his years. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was an honors student at the University of Georgia working on his Bachelor's Degree in Bio Chemistry. Harrison was very passionate about learning anything and everything he could get his hands on. He also loved video games and his dogs and spending time with his family.
The family of Harrison Jones would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the many who provided food to eat, an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on during this difficult time.
Other than his parents, survivors include his brother, Coleman Jones, a sister, Aron Hardin, maternal grandmother, Valeska Hardin, paternal grandmother, Dorothy Jones, uncles, Austin Hardin (Delilah), Eddie Hardin, Roger Hardin (Angela), Aunt, Lori Cavis (Rob), and one great uncle, Robert Dineen (Jeanne) and several cousins.
