Hazel L. (Cox) Ratliff

Hazel Levena Ratliff, 84 of Columbus Georgia, passed away on January 31, 2021 at her residence.

A Celebration of Life Service  will be held 11:00 AM Thursday February 4, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907 with Rev. Travis Rigsby officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A private interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, we encourage everyone to make the best decisions to remain safe. If anyone wishes to attend the visitation or funeral service, please remember to remain 6 feet apart from those not in your household and wear personal protective equipment.

Mrs. Ratliff was born October 20, 1936 in Harlan, Kentucky daughter of the late Calvin and Ella Bowling Cox. She was a homemaker and member of Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church.  Mrs. Ratliff loved her family and the Lord. While attending Kirkland Memorial, Mrs. Ratliff enjoyed assisting in the kitchen, helping with Vacation Bible School, summer camps and listing to gospel music. In addition to her church activities, Mrs. Ratliff enjoyed spending time with her family, her grandchildren, watching the Atlanta Braves and making memories from the many trips they took together.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Ratliff is preceded in death by her husband Grant Ratliff.

Survivors include her loving children, Terry Ratliff (Carolyn), Robert Ratliff (Rebecca), Donald Ratliff and Michael Ratliff (Kelly). She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and her 4 great-grandchildren.
