Her journey was marked by great love, steadfast commitment to service, and a quietly profound presence that enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Hazel was the cherished daughter of the late William Dewey Reaves Sr. and Yvonne Davis Reaves. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, William “Bill” Dewey Reaves Jr. Hazel is now joyfully reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, James “Rob” Robinson, who also preceded her in death.

Throughout her life, Hazel devoted herself to causes and communities that spoke to her soul. She was esteemed for her leadership and dedication, earning recognition as the Oklahoma Eastern Star Grand Warder and further distinguishing herself as Oklahoma Worthy Grand Matron. These accomplishments reflect the depth of Hazel's commitment to service, her unyielding integrity, and her devotion to uplifting those around her.

A woman of many talents and interests, Hazel found special joy in the companionship of her dogs, whose loyalty and affection were a constant source of happiness. She also lent her skills and wisdom to the Phenix City Art Center, where she served faithfully as treasurer, supporting the arts and enriching her community.

Hazel is remembered with love and gratitude by her surviving family and friends. She leaves behind her nephews William Craig Reaves and Todd Dewey Reaves, and her niece Christine Moore and many great nieces and nephews.

Her story is one of quiet strength and dignity, a life devoted to family, community, and the simple joys that defined her character. Hazel’s legacy will be cherished in the memories of those who loved her and in the countless ways she made the world a better place.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 9th at 4:00pm (EST) at Crawford Road Baptist Church, 2706 Highway 80 Phenix City, AL. All who knew Hazel are invited to remember her warmth, her laughter, and her lasting impact.
