Heather Ann Mitchell, 49, of Salem, Alabama died Wednesday, November 21, 2019 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus.
Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 25, 2019 at North Highland Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dennis Lacey and Rabbi Brian Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Monday at the church.
Heather was born April 21, 1970 in Florence, Alabama daughter of William E. Peevy and Patricia Duke Peevy of Athens, Alabama. She was a 1988 graduate of Foley High School and a 1993 graduate of Auburn University. Heather worked for Anthem Blue Cross and was a member of North Highland Assembly of God Church. Heather was an encourager and loved everyone. She was a servant leader and enjoyed taking care of her family. Heather loved to read and was a volunteer for over 20 years at the Valley Rescue Mission. She enjoyed riding horses and spending time at Peaceful Valley Farm Natural Horsemanship Training.
Survivors other than her mother and father include her husband, Chris Mitchell, children, Nathan Mitchell (Nicole), Maegan Mitchell, Isaac Mitchell, sister, Jennifer Peevy Dobson (Anthony), maternal - grandmother, Dorothy Duke, father-in-law, Jack Mitchell and several nieces and nephews and a great-nephew.
