Helen Coleman Bowden, 92, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the Gardens at Calvary.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 15, 2025 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, July 14, 2025 at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.
Helen was born on June 19, 1933 in Columbus, GA to the late William Thompson Coleman and Willie Jean Ogletree Coleman. She loved to enjoy her time cruising, crocheting and most of all her family, to include her dogs Bobby and Millie.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jefson Bowden, Sr.
Helen is survived by her son, Jeff Bowden (Karen) of Columbus, GA, daughters, Cindy Bowden Nichols (Coy) and Lisa Bowden Evans (Dan) both of Columbus, GA; grandsons, Robbie Bowden (Allison); Daniel Bowden (Alisha); Allen Ginn (Ashley); Andy Ginn (Leslie); and Ned Nichols; granddaughters, Emily Lorzing and Maria Grace Evans; great-grandchildren, Jack, Adeline, Lucy, Brenden, Liam, Tripp, Coleman, Charlotte, several nieces and nephews and special friends, Ruth Elver and June Holder.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Mark Church or The Ridge Church.
