Homer Gene Gallops, Sr., 81, of Box Springs, GA died Friday, October 14, 2022 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church, 6755 Columbus Hwy. Box Springs, GA 31801 with Elder Geoff Cofield officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Homer was born June 29, 1941 in Columbus, GA to the late Homer Gallops and Myrtis Weed Gallops. He worked for Bell South for 35 years in cable repair. He loved to grill, cut grass, work in the yard, going to the gym and working out. His favorite saying was, If you have a problem, “Go talk to Joe”.
He is survived by his sons, Homer Gene Gallops, Jr. of Shiloh, GA, Michael “Todd” Gallops (Amy) of Mauk, GA, sister, Joyce Gibson of Marion County, GA, grandchildren, Jeana Quirk (Cody) and Dylan Gallops.
