Honorable Judge Henry King Harp, Jr., 84, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Roy White officiating. A private interment will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
H.K. was born February 17, 1933 in Cusseta, GA son of the late Henry King Harp, Sr. and Lily Evans Harp. He was a lifelong resident of Chattahoochee County until he and his wife of 58 years relocated to Spring Harbor Retirement Community. He retired in 1999 after serving 36 years as Judge of the Probate Court for Chattahoochee County. He also served on the Board of Sumter Electric Membership Corporation for 41 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Annelle, sons Henry (LeAnn) and Rhett; brother Olin (Lynn) all of Columbus, Ga. Grandchildren Mathew, Mindy, Lauren, Brooke, Mitchell and great grandson Brayden.
