Hulen "Pete" Onree Bounds, 85, of Phenix City, Alabama died Monday, May 18, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Thursday May 21, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3878 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA. 31907 with Rev. Terry Bounds officiating. Burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Wednesday May 20, 2015 at the funeral home.
Mr. Bounds was born September 28, 1929 in Oloh, Mississippi the son of the late George F. Bounds and Edith Steele Bounds. Pete worked as an electrician with D.P. Jones Electrical Company and retired from Glidden Paint Company. Pete served in the United States Army and was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Gay Bounds and five siblings.
Survivors include his daughter, Angi Shellhouse (Robert) of Phenix City, AL., son, Mike Bounds (Michelle) of Warner Robins, GA., sisters, Dell Robertson (Bobby)of Hattiesburg, MS., Faye Riley of Hattiesburg, MS., brother, John Bounds (OlIne) of Sumrall, MS., grandchildren, Lindsay Bounds of Warner Robins, GA., Andrew Shellhouse of Auburn, AL., Shayne Bounds of Ft. Riley, KS. and Sydney Shellhouse of Phenix City, AL.
