In Loving Memory of Jackson

On September 24th, 2026, our beautiful Jackson walked into the arms of Jesus, carried home by the same love that held him every day of his life.

The family will receive friends for a visitation 2:00PM - 4:00PM, Sunday, September 27, 2026, at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.  Private graveside services will be held at Harmony Mausoleum and Cemetery.

Jackson was born on February 8th, 2001, and for twenty-five years he touched the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him. He faced medical and developmental challenges that would have defined a smaller life — but Jackson was never his diagnosis. He was his sweet spirit, his infectious laugh, and that mischievous grin that let you know he was up to something no good.

He loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, ice-cold Coke, Reese cups, and chicken nuggets. He also loved Blue's Clues and Dora the Explorer, watching the same episodes again and again like they were brand new every time. But more than all of it, Jackson loved his Mama, his Daddy, and his Sissy — and being loved by them right back.

Jackson taught us that a hard life is not a small life. He taught us that joy doesn't ask permission from circumstance. He taught us that love shows up in peanut butter sandwiches, cartoon reruns, and a grin across the room.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Karen Weisenburger; his sister, Sydney; his brother, Zackery (Robyn); his grandparents, Paulette and John Wilkins; and his Aunt Dolly. He was preceded in death by his Pop, Carey Harper, and his Grandpa and Grandma, Chuck and Nancy Weisenburger.

The family is endlessly grateful to the caregivers who loved Jackson like family: Rosa Lindo, Viviana Moreno Rodriguez, Stella Galvez, Barbara Hicks, Vanesa Pagan, Aleea Davey-Price, and Darielle Staggers. Thank you for loving him so well, every single day.

Run freely, sweet boy. You were everything.
