James Oscar Applewhite, Jr. 69 of Columbus, Georgia died Friday December 17, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday December 23, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 38784 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907.
James was born June 25, 1952 in Wilmington, NC, son of the late Lt. Colonel James O. Applewhite, Sr. and Mary Alice (Moss) Applewhite.
Other than his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter Christy Applewhite.
James is survived by his wife of 48 years Katherine, his son Keith Applewhite (Jennifer), daughter Jana Applewhite, and grandsons, Justin Applewhite, Nick Applewhite (Rebecca), Robert Applewhite, Jacob Cook and Brody Walker, and several nieces and nephews.
