James Monroe Kincaid Jr., went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2025, in Columbus, Georgia. He dedicated 48 years of his life to education, the last 24 of which were in Columbus. Born on September 12, 1951, in Fairfield, Alabama, Jim’s journey through life was marked by a profound commitment to his family, friends, students, and Jesus Christ.

For the last fifteen years of his career in education, Jim served as the Middle School Bible teacher at Calvary Christian School.Those who were fortunate enough to know Jim often spoke of his unwavering dedication to his students and the staff that surrounded him. His loyalty, integrity and strong character enabled him have a deep connection with his students. He cherished each moment spent at Calvary Christian School and Calvary Baptist Church, where he found family, fellowship, and joy.

Beyond the classroom, Jim carried a heart full of love for his own family, nurturing deep connections that spanned generations. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dottie, whose lives were filled with love and laughter. He leaves behind his loving children: Chris, Jamie Williams and Mark, who all enriched their family tapestry. His legacy extends further with countless memories shared with his daughter in law, Nicole Kincaid, son in law, Jeremy Williams, and daughter in law, Leah Kincaid .

In the joy of grandchildren, Jim found boundless delight. Carter, Carus, Collier Williams, Tilly Ann, and Langley Williams brought light to his days.

Jim was also the cherished son of Dorothy Kincaid, and although his father, James Monroe Kincaid, has passed, it is clear that the values instilled in him have echoed through his life’s work. He shared a deep bond with his brother, Terry Kincaid, who held a special place in his heart, reflecting a connection forged through shared memories and unwavering support.

In every endeavor, whether it be running sound at church, tending to yard work alongside family, or exploring new horizons through travel, Jim embraced life with passion and purpose. A passionate follower of Christ, he illustrated his faith not merely in words but through actions—serving others and embodying a spirit of generosity and love that impacted all who were fortunate enough to know him.

As we reflect on Jim Kincaid's life, we find a tapestry woven with love, faith, and dedication. While he will be deeply missed, the indelible mark he left on the hearts of his loved ones will remain a beacon of inspiration—a testament to a life lived in service to others, to family, and to Jesus Christ. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Calvary Baptist Church 7556 Old Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Christian School.
