Janie E. Cannon, 92, of Cataula, GA died Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Magnolia Manor in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Tommie Hart officiating. A private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cannon was born December 29, 1926 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Henry S. McGill and Bertha Lou Johnson McGill. She worked as a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, James Lamar Cannon. She was also proceeded in death by her siblings, Buddy McGill, Jabo McGill, Billy McGill, Martha Wynn, Anne Morrison, Betty Grimes and Jackie McGill.
Survivors include her children, Jimmy Cannon of Columbus, GA, Janie Alexander (Bobby) of Cataula, GA, Linda Ivester (Danny) of Knoxville, TN, Nancy Parsons (Ronnie) of Columbus, GA and Joe Cannon of LaGrange, GA, 26 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
