Jason Denton

Jason Yul Denton, 44, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907

He was born on December 5, 1980 in Columbus, Georgia to Lisa Nolin Patterson and Patrick Yul Denton. Jason attended Jordan Vocational High School and was a certified HVAC technician/electrician and worked for his father’s business as a sales representative for Southwest Equipment. He was a member of The Fort Church in Columbus, Ga. Jason loved the University of Georgia Bulldogs and Nascar racing. Jason was one of a kind with a smile that would light up the sky.

He is predeceased in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Margaret Nolin and paternal grandfather, Ali Johannesen.

Jason is survived by his mother, Lisa (Lauren) Patterson; father, Patrick (Rhonda) Denton; his children, Chandler Denton, Dylan Denton and Kenleigh Denton; grandson, Halston Rowe; brother, Brentley Denton; and paternal grandmother, Ursula Johannesen; many loving nieces and nephew, and step sisters. He was affectionately known as “Bubba Jason”.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Connections/Recovery Community Organization, 4827 14th Avenue, Columbus, Ga 31904.
