Jesse William Tapp, age 42, passed away on September 18, 2026. Born in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, on December 14, 1983, Jesse was a man who lived life fully, deeply devoted to his family and the outdoors.

Jesse’s greatest joy was his family. His heart belonged above all to his wife, Amanda Tapp. From the moment they attended junior prom together, Jesse loved Amanda more than anyone, sharing an unwavering, enduring bond that carried them through every chapter of life. He was a proud, loving father to his son, Bronson Tapp, and his daughter, McKenzie Tapp. Some of his favorite memories were made with Bronson and McKenzie—whether they were out on fishing trips, swimming together, or taking family vacations to Cherokee. An avid outdoorsman, Jesse found immense peace and happiness in nature. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping under the stars. He also had a passion for cars and trucks, always appreciating a great vehicle and time spent working on or driving them. Known for his playful spirit and sense of humor, Jesse loved picking on his nieces and nephews, bringing laughter and joy to every family gathering.

Jesse is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda Tapp (Towe); his cherished children, Bronson Tapp and McKenzie Tapp; his sister, Beverly Rutledge; his brother, Joseph Tapp; and his grandmother, Catherine Rich. He is also survived by his aunts, Jerri Hill, Tammy Alley (Doug), and Teresa Adams (Mike), along with several very special cousins, and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.Jesse’s warmth, humor, and unconditional love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

A memorial Service will be held at Little Creek Baptist Church in Rome, GA on Saturday, October 3 at 2 p.m. Family request everyone wear camouflage
