Jewel Wallace Wells, 88, of Hamilton, GA passed away Sunday, November 09, 2025 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, November 13, 2025 at St Thomas Episcopal Church, 2100 Hilton Ave, Columbus, GA 31906. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at the Church. A private interment will be held following the service at Parkhill Cemetery.
Jewel was born March 13, 1937 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Joseph Wallace and Minnie Brock Wallace.
Other than her parents, Jewel is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Gene Wells Sr.; grandsons, Joseph Barry Wells, Jr., and Arthur “Trey” Gene Wells III.
Survivors include her children, Carol Wells Grunfeld (David) of Bradenton, FL, Arthur Gene Wells Jr. (Christy) of Columbus, GA, Linda Joy Wells of Hamilton, GA, Joseph Barry Wells Sr. of Hamilton, GA; grandchildren, Matthew Grunfeld of Brooksville, FL, Shannon Jewel Wells (Eric) of Antioch, TN; great grandchildren, Aubrey Brooklyn Wells of Franklin, GA, Jackson Lucas Wells of Franklin, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
