John "Wesley" Coan, III, 65, of Hamilton, GA died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Doctor's Hospital.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2011 at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Mr. Coan was born October 9, 1945 in Columbus, GA son of the late John Wesley Coan, II and Nell Smith Coan. He worked in the Banking and Finance business in the Columbus area. He was passionate about hunting and fishing, and he loved the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lumpkin Coan of Hamilton, GA, daughter, Robin Monteith (Tracy) of Washington, step-daughter, Leanne Smith (Rodney Bishop) of Atlanta, GA, step-son, James Smith (Nancy) of Columbus, GA, and several grandchildren.
