Johnny Earl Cowart, 65, of Columbus, GA died Friday, November 7, 2014 at Columbus Speciality Hospital.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM ,Saturday, November 22, 2014 at St. Peter United Methodist Church , according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 -11:00 AM at the church.

Mr. Cowart was born January 18, 1949 in Ft. Benning, GA, son of the late Olive Marie Westbrook Cowart. He retired in January 2014 as an Inspector with PCI and was a member of St. Peter United Methodist Church.
Mr. Cowart was preceded in death by his mother, Olive Marie Westbrook Cowart.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Cowart of Columbus, GA; son, Jon Cowart (Leslie) of Mt. Vernon, AL; brothers, Billy Johnson (Elizabeth) of Columbus, GA and Bobby Johnson (Brenda) of Cusseta, GA; sisters, Sheila Sizemore of Columbus, GA and Brenda Henry of Franklin, NC; grandchildren, Angelina, Rhiannon, Jonathan, Josiah and Jackson all of Mr. Vernon, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews
