Johnny Frank Jacobs, 62, of Columbus, GA died Monday, March 6, 2017 at his home.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 10, 2017 at Christian Heritage Church 4676 Lee Rd. 430, Smiths, Al. 36877. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Jacobs was born August 6, 1954 in Columbus, GA son of Nadine Jones Ashbaugh of Phenix City, AL and the late Benjamin Franklin Jacobs. He graduated from Daniel Junior High School and Jordan High School. He started working as a young man for ABC Fence Company and later worked as a service manager for Fuller Ford in Opelika, Freeway Ford and Rivertown Ford. Mr. Jacobs was a reserve Deputy Sheriff with the Russell County Sheriff's office and an avid Alabama fan, loved fishing and was a true family man.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Mancil.
Survivors include his mother, Nadine Jones Ashbaugh of Phenix City, AL, loving wife, Patricia L. Jacobs of Columbus, GA, daughter April M. Jacobs of Phenix City, AL, step-children, Richard "Ricky" Valentini (Ashley) and Blaine Valentini all of Columbus, GA, brother, Keith Jacobs (Gina) of Phenix City, AL, sisters, Wanda Haden of Lexington, KY and Patricia Lewis (Scott) of LaGrange, GA, step-grandchildren, Richard Valentini, III of Auburn, AL and Bailee Valentini of Columbus, GA, many other family and friends, and his loving dog, Trixie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church Music Fund 2100 Hilton Ave. Columbus, GA 31906.
