Joleen Clevenger Oney, 71, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, December 10, 2017 at her home.
A blessing will be said by Pastor Judy Hay at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 14, 2017 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Oney was born June 18, 1946 in White Oak, TX daughter of the late Floyd C. Clevenger and Laura Bell Young Clevenger. She was a Music Teacher and shared her gifts and talents freely with others. Mrs. Oney had a sweet spirit and a giving heart. Her grandchildren were the gems in her life and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dean Oney.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Diaz (Luis) of Columbus, GA, step-son, Aaron Oney (Betsy) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Brandon Diaz (Heather) of Pacifica, CA, Bailey Diaz (Amber) and Brianna Diaz all of Columbus, GA, great grandchildren, David and Giavanna Diaz, Tristan, Matthew & Baby Diaz and Olivia and Sarah Oney, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.
