Karen Wood Davenport, 76 of Columbus, GA passed away on Saturday April 11, 2026 with her loving family by her side. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Thursday April 16, 2026 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will have a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.

Karen was born November 4, 1949 in Steubenville, OH. to the late Henry Howard Wood and Margaret Leah Mulhall Wood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Andrew Davenport. She was a lifelong resident of Columbus and attended Columbus schools. She was an Executive Administrative Assistant with AFLAC where she made many lifelong friends.

She is survived by four children, Margaret Whitney Singell (Eric); Charles David Smith (Connie); Zachary Andrew Davenport; and Andrew Lamar Davenport. Grandchildren, Andrew Carter Singell, Colby Smith (Madison) and Leo Archer Davenport; Great Grandchild Leo Archer Davenport. Her lifelong friend and sister-in-law Debbie Ammons (Terry)
