Karen Jones

Karen Jones, 69, of Columbus, Georgia passed away unexpectedlyon Saturday, July 5, 2025.

Karen was born on September 24, 1955 in Germany to the late Arthur and Eva Boatner. She worked as a computer programmer for the Muscogee County School District for more than 30 years. Karen loved reading her Bible, writing poetry, journaling, and exercising.

Other than her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Jones and her brothers, Wayne and Robert Boatner.

Karen is survived by her siblings, Priscilla Boatner of Brookhaven, GA, Ray Boatner (Marilyn) of Sharpsburg, GA, Shelley Pruitt (Les) of Jonesboro, GA, Tammy Spain (Tim) of Columbus, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.

A private service will be heldat a laterdateto honor Karen’s memory.
