Kate B. Lovering, 94, of Columbus, GA died Monday, June 17, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Willie Martin officiating. A private interment will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lovering was born June 24, 1924 in Colquitt, GA daughter of the late Jessie C. Bush and Lila Hodges Bush. She worked as a Drawing End Hand and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Lovering loved to cook and serve the Lord in every way.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Lovering.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Lovering Thompson (Tommy) of Tallassee, AL, son, Billy "Wayne" Lovering (Brenda) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Teresa Sasser, Jennifer Allen, Dewayne Deal and Todd Thompson, great-grandchildren, Taylor Sasser, Jake Sasser, Brittany Allen and Troy Allen, and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to First Freewill Baptist 952 54th St. Columbus, GA 31904 or Columbus Hospice House 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
