Kathleen “Katie” Joanne Jahosky, 82, of Columbus, GA, passed away January 24, 2026, at Spring Harbor. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2026, at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory.
Katie was born on March 10, 1943, in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late John E. Sauda and Georgia Martini Sauda. A lifelong lover of music, Katie dedicated her career to teaching music, inspiring generations of students with her passion, discipline, and joy for the art. She believed music was not only something to be performed, but something to be shared and felt. Katie is a former member of the Babylon Chorale, where she performed and served as the ensemble conductor for many years. She has also been a member of several church choirs in both New York and Georgia.
Other than her parents, Katie was preceded in death by her husband, James J Jahosky, and her brother, Eric Sauda.
Survivors include her children, Kristen Rosenquist (Levi) of Columbus, GA, James A. Jahosky (Jackie) of Covington, GA; grandchildren, Kevin Rosenquist (Brianna) of Fort Stewart, GA, Jack Rosenquist of Columbus, GA, Brett Rosenquist of Columbus, GA; great grandchildren, Mia Rosenquist, Austin Rosenquist; sisters, Sue Knauf of Rochester, NY, Jean Sauda (Carl Bovill) of Jacksonville, FL, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
