Kenneth “Fish” Johnston, 73, of Cataula, GA died Sunday, May 31,2026 at Piedmont Midtown.

Graveside services will be held 10:00AM, Friday, June 5, 2026 at Parkhill Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Kenneth was born December 31, 1952 in Fairbanks, Alaska to the late James D. Johnston and Alma J. Johnston. Fish served in the United States Navy and was a loyal employee of Stephens Auto Glass for over 40 years. Kenneth married Kaye H. Johnston in 1984 and cherished a life with her till her death in 2008. 

Kenneth originally had the nickname “Catfish” from a mustache style he selected that resembled the whiskers of the animal, over time people condensed the nickname to “Fish”. He enjoyed fixing up cars for friends and family. He worked on restoring a panel wagon for him and his wife to use on long road trips. He was also an avid motorcycle rider. Kenneth once worked a gig as a cattle rancher. He spent the majority of his time tending to his home with a Natural Light in hand. Other than his parents, Kenneth is predeceased by his brothers Aaron Johnston and Donald Johnston.

He is survived by his sister Dorothy Gillmore (De’Vaughn) of Phenix, City, nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friend Larry Ellison.
