Leslie "Bruce" Beckwith
January 29, 1953 — March 14, 2017
Bruce Beckwith passed on to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. He resided in Fortson, Georgia for over 20 years.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date and announced at that time.
Bruce was born in Columbus, Georgia on January 29, 1953 to Walter W. Beckwith and Margaret P. Beckwith. He operated his own business, Cut n Care, Unlimited for a number of years but recently worked with a local contractor for the last year. He attended Nankipooh Elementary during his younger years and was very proud to let anyone know that. He graduated from Jordan Vocational High School in 1971. He also attended Victory Heights Baptist Church as a youngster.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Margaret Beckwith and numerous other family members.
He is survived by his sons, Shane and Chance Beckwith both of Columbus, GA. His sisters, Brenda (Ed) Hurst of Greensburg, PA and Mary (Mike) Highnote of Cataula, GA. His grandchildren, Colby, Bryce, Carlie and Trenton, and numerous other relatives.
Bruce will always be remembered for his smile and friendly appearance even during his troubled times but now we can all rejoice and know he is speaking clearly, moving his hand freely and walking without a limp down the streets of gold.
