Linda Marilyn Thomason, 75, of Columbus passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 4, 2026 with her loving family by her side.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 11, 2026 at her home church, Striplin Terrace Methodist Church, 4170 Striplin Terrace Dr. Columbus, GA 31909. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Linda was born January 4, 1951 in Dothan, AL to the late James W. Walden, Jr. and Mary Ellen Howell Walden. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family more than anything. Her career as a secretary for the State of Georgia Corrections Department spanned 30 years. She was a dedicated member of Striplin Terrace Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. After retirement, she volunteered as a pink lady at St. Francis Hospital for many years. She loved spending time with her family and traveling with her family.

Survivors include the love of her life and husband of 53 years, Richard Thomason of Columbus; Son, Casey Thomason (Amy) of Columbus; Daughter, Randi Edwards (Donnie) of Fortson; Grandchildren, Hayley, Michael, and Noah Thomason, and Ryleigh and Cambree Edwards; Sisters, twin Brenda Davis (Horton) of Americus, and Connie Hamilton of Columbus; Brother-in-law, Glen Thomason also of Columbus.

Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Mike and her parents, James and Mary Walden.
