Louise McFadden Burkett, 86 of Columbus died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Pope officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Burkett was born July 14, 1926 in Ozark, Alabama daughter of the late James Ray McFadden and Louise Andrews McFadden. She was a retired Nursing Supervisor for Muscogee Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Gritten and Sarah Montwicki.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, CSM Ret. Paul Burkett of Columbus, GA; daughter, Jody Ann McDaniel (Bill) of West Point, GA; sister, Margaret Addy of Mobile, AL; grandson, Phillip David Strickland (Joy) and great grandchildren, Andrew and Abigail Strickland.
