Lula Mae Weeks, 86, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Lynn McManious officiating. A private interment will be held at Riverdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Weeks was born November 12, 1932 in Chuncky, MS daughter of the late James Lengio Boatner and Mae Willis Boatner. She worked in the Finishing Department at Fieldcrest Mills for 30 years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Weeks, son, Michael Weeks and brother, Charles R. Boatner.
Survivors include her best friend of 62 years, Sara Lamb Love (James) of Columbus, GA, niece, Bonnie Eldridge (Phillip) of Columbus, GA, nephews, Mel Lamb (Joy) of Talbotton, GA and Joey Lamb (Melissa) of Canton, GA, special cousins, Margo Hinson (Sherman) of Columbus, GA and Joann Lubitz of Arizona, and several great-nieces and nephews.
