Lynndolyn "Lynn" Mitchell White, born February 11, 1949, passed away on April 15, 2026, at
Piedmont Hospital Midtown. Her departure marks the loss of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and cherished member of her community. 

Lynn was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Ruby Brown and Cleveland Burns Mitchell.

Lynn was a dedicated member of the Joyful Noise Sunday School class at Wynnton Methodist Church. She was also a member of Alphi Xi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, Muscogee Retired Educators Association, Wynnton Methodist Church Quilters, and the GALA Quilt Guild of Phenix City. Lynn’s enduring spirit was evident in the warmth and devotion she shared with those closest to her. 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, William "Bill" White, Sr., of Midland, Georgia, who stood steadfastly by her side. Together, they shared a life built on deep love and mutual respect.

She leaves behind her sons, William "Alton" White, Jr. and his wife Kim, and Geary Mitchell White and his wife Tammy all of Columbus, Georgia. She was best known as “Gmama” to her grandchildren: Will (Luisa Botelho), CJ, Sally Lynn Burgess (Aaron), Carter, Sara Ann, Margie Nell, Lilly Burns and great grandchild Annie Wills Burgess. She is also survived by her sister, Shelley Montgomery (David), and her brother-in-law Ronnie Bridges of Columbus, Georgia, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents Ruby Brown and Cleveland Burns Mitchell, her brother Howard Bell, and her twin sister, Gwen Bridges.

Her life will be remembered with deep respect for the kindness, strength, and love she brought to all who knew her. Lynndolyn "Lynn" White’s memory remains a lasting testament of grace and devotion to her family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Wynnton Methodist Church with Rev. Jason Wade officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
